In particular, Bursa has become very famous in Turkish for its colourful silks, which have been produced here for quite literally centuries and sold all over the city, particularly at the historic silk market of Koza Hani covered market (besesten).

The city is also something of a towel and bathrobe capital in Turkey, and located in central Bursa, the Ozdilek Shopping Centre is the perfect place to find some brightly coloured fluffy towels in all sizes.

Where to Shop

Close to the Ataturk Caddesi, the Zafer Plaza is perhaps the ultimate place to spend an afternoon's shopping in Bursa and this modern mall really stands out on the Cemal Nadir Caddesi, being a dramatic glass-glad pyramid and often compared to the Louvre Art Gallery in Paris.

The Zafer Plaza great contrasts with the city's most traditional Turkish architecture and mosques and is otherwise known as the Pyramid Centre.
